Sebs in narrow win

St. Sebastian’s College posted a narrow outright win by four wickets over Isipatana MV in their inter school under 19 cricket tournament match at the BRC ground in Havelock Park yesterday.
The tournament conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association and MassCom Pvt Ltd is sponsored by Ceylon Biscuits Ltd.
Isipatana were dismissed for 195 runs in their second innings with left arm spinner Amila Aponso grabbing four wickets for 41. The Sebastianites then reached their target thanks to a century opening partnership between Deshan Dias (67) and Oshada Fernando (59).

Denham helps Petes draw with Royal

Elegant middle order batsman Denham Perera hit a battling hundred to help St. Peter’s College to force a draw to their annual inter school under 19 cricket tournament match against Royal College which ended at Reid Avenue yesterday.
The Peterites who were trailing by 183 runs on the first innings produced an improved batting performance in their second essay scoring 271 for 8 with Denham Perera stroking 111 inclusive of one six and a dozen boundaries.
