Janashakthi installs signboards at Eye Hospital

Following a request made by the Director of the Colombo Eye Hospital Dr. Sisira Liyanage, Janashakthi Insurance PLC recently completed a project whereby over 100 signage boards were installed at vantage points of the hospital.
Around 3000 to 4000 people, come to the Colombo Eye Hospital every day. The absence of proper signage has been both confusing and of great inconvenience to these people, both patients and visitors.
Apart from the main Name Board of the Hospital, the new signage directs people to counters and wards and other important locations in a very methodical and easy-to-understand manner. Both patients and visitors have reacted positively with favourable comments all round.
Director of the Colombo Eye Hospital Dr. Liyanage thanked JIPLC for coming forward to facilitate the Hospital’s service levels with the installation of clear signage. “It has made movement within the hospital premises more organized, with patients and visitors spending far less time asking around. My staff and I are grateful to JIPLC for this very magnanimous gesture which tangibly benefits a few thousand people day in and day out”.

DHL Express new Country Manager

DHL announced the appointment of Manish Patel as Country Manager for DHL Keells (Pvt.) Ltd. - the market leading express services JV between DHL Express and John Keells Holdings in Sri Lanka. Prior to his current position, Mr. Patel was the Head of Business Development & Alliances for Non-Metro Markets at DHL Express, India.
With over 10 years of experience in DHL Express India, Manish has had a string of achievements. He was instrumental in the successful re-branding of DHL Express in India in 2003 and was also responsible for the expansion of DHL into 500 non-metro locations across India.
Speaking on the appointment, Mr. Ramesh Natarajan, Vice President - Rest of South Asia, for DHL Express, said, “We are delighted to appoint Mr. Manish Patel as the Country Manager for Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka is a key focus market and we are glad to have a seasoned industry expert leading the business.”
