Mahela to be felicitated

Nalanda College past cricketers will be meeting at their inaugural ‘Cricketers’ Nite 2010’ on March 1 from 7pm onwards at the SSC. At the event former Nalanda and Sri Lanka cricket captain Mahela Jayawardena will be felicitated.
“Under Mahela’s captaincy Sri Lanka became the runners-up in the World Cup and won the spirit of the game for two consecutive years. Therefore it is most befitting to dedicate the ‘Cricketers’ Nite’ to a proud product of Nalanda College,” said Nalanda College Past Cricketers’ Association President Kusal de Silva.
