SL has implicit faith in the Central govt - Minister Sirisena

L-News---Sira-PhotoSLFP General Secretary and Minister Maithripala Sirisena on Sunday said the Sri Lankan government had implicit faith in the Indian central government and would continue to maintain close ties with them despite the current situation in Tamil Nadu.
He said those in power and in the opposition in Tamil Nadu wanted to stay in politics and as a result they were pointing fingers at Sri Lanka so as to divert attention.

Meanwhile, commenting on the recent attacks on Muslims, the Minister said steps would be taken for those events not to recur.
Minister Sirisena warned that some groups were trying to create communal disharmony between the Sinhalese and the Muslims in the country and requested the people not to fall pray to them.

Addressing a press conference, the Minister said tough legal action would be taken against those individuals or groups who were trying to make divisions between the Sinhalese and the Muslims.
