The highest number of traffic accidents so far this year has been recorded within the month of March, with a total of 168 accidents claiming the lives of 181 persons, the Police Spokesman’s Office said Saturday.
In comparison 156 accidents had taken place in the month of January and 146 in February while the fatalities from these accidents have been reported as 163 and 154 respectively.
Meanwhile, a total of 2,300 traffic accidents had taken place last year with 2,425 deaths. A majority of these accidents were caused due to driving under the influence of alcohol and reckless driving
