Sarath-PhotoFormer Chief Justice, Sarath N. Silva has criticized the actions of Sri Lanka Lawyers' Association. He has said that says there is a danger of raising fear in general public on the judiciary due to some untoward activities of the Sri Lanka Lawyers' Association (SLLA).

He pointed out that the association has shown a double standard policy by declining to recognize the presence of the current chief justice at a ceremony conducted by the Association.

"The public supremacy has been endowed to the executive council, legislature and the judiciary. There are court orders that these institutions should operate on behalf of the public. Parliament has given the power to find out about employees of the judiciary and their safety to protect its independence," he has said.

We know you got 15 million santhosam from big one for shaping Tsunami Robbery. We also know that you played the world bank fund given to you to develop Sri Lanka's judiciary. You are the one who lowered Sri Lanka's judiciary by giving controvicial verdicts. Therefore don't talk bullshit now. Let BASL do their job and keep your mouth shut.
