UN special envoy on extrajudicial summary or arbitrary executions, Christof Heyns has announced that he is interested in visiting SriLanka.
ahead of UN Human Rights Council's 23rd session scheduled for next week.
However, the Sri Lankan government has so far failed to make a proper response to this request of Heyns. In 2011 Christof Heyns concluded that one Chanel -4 video on SriLanka was authentic and the events reflected in the video footage had occurred as depicted.
