Top-Stories---Sandhya-PhotoThe wife of missing journalist Sanhya Eknaligoda has urged the President, the Speaker and UPFA Puttalam District MP Arundika Fernando to take immediate measures to facilitate the return to the country of her long disappeared spouse Prageeth Eknaligoda, if he is alive as was announced to parliament by MP Arundika Fernando.
According to informed sources, Sandhya Eknaligoda has already written to President Mahinda Rajapaksa and Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa requesting them to bring down her missing husband from wherever he is after MP Arundika Fernando's revelation early this week in parliament that the veteran journalist was currently residing in France in disguise, after having sought political asylum there through the foreign missions and NGOs.
UNP Badulla district MP Harin Fernando also demanded from the government to bring down Eknaligoda if they knew of his whereabouts and that the CID should grill MP Arundika Fernando concerning his statement on the missing journalist in parliament.
Prageeth Eknaligoda has been missing since 2010.
